The 991, which was released in 2001 as the 8th model in the 99x series, has been updated.
The N logo and the logo around the heel have been redesigned. In addition to the ABZORB used in the original 991, FuelCell has been added to improve lightness and cushioning.
The upper, based on earth tones, uses a tightly woven mesh, overlaid with pig suede, and accented with synthetic materials.
Dark brown is used for the heel logo and embroidered elements, creating a rich and elegant contrast.

Produced at the Flimby factory in England, which embodies NEW BALANCE's synonymous innovation and meticulous craftsmanship since the factory began operations in 1982.
