doublet was established in 2012 by designer Masayuki Ino and pattern maker Takashi Murakami.
The brand name is derived from Lewis Carroll's word game "doublet." Just like the word game where you change one letter at a time, doublet's concept is "everyday wear with a sense of discomfort," mixing sudden ideas into basic and standard items. They offer a total range of items from apparel to accessories.

DESIGNER

Designer Masayuki Ino. After graduating from Tokyo Mode Gakuen, he gained experience as a corporate designer, then worked on planning and production of shoes and accessories at MIHARAYASUHIRO. Afterwards, he launched "doublet" with pattern maker Takashi Murakami, debuting with the 2013 S/S exhibition. In 2017, he was selected for the "Tokyo Fashion Award 2017," held an exhibition in Paris, and presented his first runway show during the 2017 Autumn/Winter Tokyo Fashion Week. In 2018, he won the Grand Prize at the "LVMH Prize." In 2020, he held his first presentation at Paris Fashion Week for the Autumn/Winter collection.
