"Mountain Research" is the mountain category of ". . . . Research," a project with various project names depending on the theme. Under the fictional team name "Anarcho Mountaineers," the group continues to imagine a "world without rulers," inspired by their mentor, Henry D. Thoreau, and combines it with mountain landscapes, a belief that remains at the core of their activities. They develop collections that cross the boundaries of fashion and culture, branching out by theme, such as "Anarcho Cups" (stainless steel camping tableware) and "Holiday in the Mountain" (camping furniture). Their approach is characterized by their unique perspective on outdoor activities and sociality, and their approach to incorporating them into everyday wear.

The designer, Setsumasa Kobayashi, has a deep knowledge of culture and continues to create clothes that constantly question our relationship with society and nature.
