The upper does away with the standard midfoot saddle and instead flows pigskin and synthetic overlays across a mesh underlay from heel to toe for a streamlined look that inspires speed.
The evolved design is one of the most dramatic generational changes the 990 has ever seen, but the biggest leap is under the hood.
With the addition of FuelCell midsole cushioning, the evolution of the 990 can not only be seen but felt.

FEATURES: Fuel cell foam provides a sense of propulsion and supports forward momentum.
- ENCAP midsole cushioning combines lightweight foam with a durable polyurethane rim for comfortable wear even over long periods of time.
Reflective accents, TPU back tab, New Balance MADE contains over 70% domestic value. New Balance MADE accounts for a limited percentage of sales in the United States.
