・ABSTRACT
This work dynamically expresses the "wabi-sabi" aesthetic of ceramic artist Shiro Tsujimura, whose work captivates art collectors and antique connoisseurs around the world.
The passion of Japan's leading artists is transformed into textiles, and even when they are incorporated into the patterns of our clothing, their power remains undiminished.
This piece has two different patterns applied to it in order to maintain a hand-drawn feel.
I hope that you will take the time to look at his work and feel the way he expresses his way of life.
Material: Canvas made with 10/1 rayon/linen (70/30) warp and weft threads.
By using a rayon-rich material, we have been able to give it a soft feel, drape, and fall that is completely different from the impression of cotton canvas.
The 30% linen content tightens the fabric, giving it a firm, resilient feel even in its soft texture.
The large panel print and dyestone are used to express the edges of the motifs sharply. The rough, slightly thick rayon/linen material has a similar appearance to the canvas of paintings and the softness of rayon.
RAYON 70%
LINEN 30%
