[Outer material]
The warp threads are made of double yarns made from uneven extra-long staple cotton yarns loosely twisted together, and the weft threads are made of loosely twisted cotton and extra-long staple cotton yarns of different counts twisted together, alternating with silk neps to create a thick twill fabric with a loose fabric density. The finishing process removes further stiffness from the fabric, resulting in a fabric that is soft and fluffy.
The fabric has been finished with fading from sulfur dyeing, shading from twisting, and silk neps to give it the appearance of aging.
