This outer garment is designed with all-over quilted insulation, making it suitable as both an outer layer and a mid-layer.
ECWCS (Extended Cold Weather Clothing System) is the cold weather clothing system specified by the US military. Its highest level, LEVEL7, previously used a material called PrimaLoft as insulation. However, it has now been replaced with HARVEST CONSUMER INSULATION, LLC's CLIMASHIELD®.
A major feature of this insulation is its "Aquaban" function, which means it repels water completely. This prevents water from penetrating the interior even when wet, protecting the wearer from the outside elements.
This innovative, next-generation insulation is used in conjunction with supplex®︎nylon RIP STOP※1 for the surface material.
This high-performance INVISTA nylon is lightweight, highly breathable, and quick-drying. It also offers water repellency, high fiber strength, and windproof properties. This material is quilted with CLIMASHIELD®.
The front features a double zipper, and the stand-up collar has hook-and-loop fasteners with a detachable hood and face guard. These can be removed and stored in a pocket located on the inside lower back of the garment.
This storage pocket is also packable, allowing the entire jacket to be stored within it, and can be used as a pillow or cushion during bivouacs.
Microfleece is used for the areas that come into contact with the skin.
The inside of the stand-up collar and pockets are lined with microfleece to ensure a comfortable feel and warmth.

Its structure, with finely-spun filaments densely arranged, provides excellent water repellency, high abrasion resistance, and breathability.
It has a dry texture, is 26-36% softer than regular nylon, and offers UV protection, blocking 97.5% of UV rays.
It enhances functions such as breathability and quick-drying, maintaining a flexible and comfortable fit.
