The unique details of workwear from the 1930s, such as triple needle stitching, square home plate shaped pockets, and minimalist waistline without a belt, give a modern impression today.
−Fabric description−
12.4oz OLDJOE original denim We've paid particular attention to the thread, expressing the original bulkiness and incorporating a rustic nep texture.
In Ibara, a denim production area, warp threads with unevenness and strong neps are dyed with a dark indigo dye.
The weft thread is made from carefully selected beige cotton that is tightly twisted to make yarn.
(Since it is not brown cotton, it has a strong raw feel.) The fabric is made from a woven material known as kibata, which is then sanforized (treated to prevent shrinkage) using a special method.
This is a different method from normal shrink-proofing, so the finished fabric is soft rather than the hard surface known as rigid denim.
We have created an elegant denim fabric without compromising the softness of Kibata denim.
The ounces of fabric is (12.4 ounces).
