・ARGYLE BROWN
It all started with the idea of creating a pattern out of leather, and after much trial and error, I decided to construct the pattern using primitive techniques.
Taking advantage of the characteristics of leather (it does not fray and can be cut off), diamond shapes are layered in leather and then decorative stitching is applied across them to create a more three-dimensional argyle pattern.
The argyle pattern is applied to the mocha part and paired with a crepe sole to create a casual loafer.
The argyle pattern created this season is a traditional Scottish pattern characterized by a combination of diamonds and diagonal lines.
Originally a type of traditional Scottish tartan (checkered pattern), it became popular among British aristocrats and upper classes in the 19th century, especially during the Victorian era (1837-1901), and then spread mainly to Europe.
