Fabric
The warp thread is made of the highest quality 6A silk filament 21/2, and the weft thread is made of Egyptian cotton GIZA cotton 100/2, twisted three strands and woven in an irregular twill, making this an ultra-high density fabric.
By twisting the weft threads into three strands, the fuzziness typical of cotton is reduced, resulting in a high density yet uniquely soft texture.
It combines the luster of silk, an animal fiber, with the natural texture of short fibers unique to cotton, a plant fiber.
This is one of the world's highest density materials, made by carefully woven on dobby looms in Japan and finished by hand at every stage at a local processing plant.
