The leather used is tanned cowhide, and only the surface is dyed with dye, oiled, and then ironed, making it a single piece of slip-on with no lining.
The lining around the opening is made of the same leather as the upper leather to prevent stretching.
The soles and insoles are both made of leather so you can wear them barefoot and the opening is deep so they look nice when worn barefoot.
