Based on the SMOCKS JACKET used by the British Airborne Forces,
This item's design has been improved in various ways to make it easier to wear.
The material is a ripstop fabric with a cotton base and thick hemp yarn cut into a grid pattern.
The difference in shrinkage rate due to differences in composition creates a grained texture on the surface.
It has a tough texture that combines the stiffness of cotton with the firmness of hemp.
