Bridle leather is a type of leather created in Europe for use in horse tack. It is highly durable and develops a beautiful luster and suppleness with use. The white powder (bloom) that floats on the surface of bridle leather is a type of wax that has soaked into the leather. With use, the bloom seeps in and creates a beautiful luster and texture. Bloom varies from piece to piece, with some blooming violently and others barely blooming. If it bothers you, wipe it off with a soft cloth or brush.
