The hem is overlapped so that it does not open when tucked in. Fine-count extra-long staple cotton is woven at high density on a shuttle loom over a long period of time, giving it a natural luster, a soft, floppy feel, and a slightly uneven surface that is not too neat. It has been washed to give it some puckering and wrinkles.
