There is only one weaver in Japan who can weave such fine hemp threads at such a high density. This plain weave hemp, carefully woven in Senshu, Osaka, has a density 1.5 times higher than normal.
The fabric is as thin as paper, yet has a firm, resilient texture and is breathable. It was inspired by military products from the mid-century.
This modern heritage jacket's simplicity highlights the texture of the fabric and the colouring created using an original dyeing recipe.
