Each piece is hand-painted with graphics by a Kyoto kimono craftsman using an airbrush and hand painting. With printing and other methods, the design only appears on the surface of the hair when it is lying flat, but by manually airbrushing the hair down to the roots, the pattern remains clearly visible even when the hair moves.
The bold depiction of the animal's face, which has a feel similar to the texture of the fabric, gives the impression that the animal's face is jumping out at you.
