We manufacture leather items using horse leather (Himeji leather) in Izumi City, Osaka Prefecture.
The origin of the brand name comes from "hand warmth," which means "manufacturing that allows you to feel the warmth of human hands." Everything from selecting leather to cutting and sewing is done by hand.
<About the leather> We use horse leather produced in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture.
This leather is colored only by dyeing, so it retains the unique character of leather, such as scars and insect bites that are proof of the animal's life. Compared to cowhide, horsehide is characterized by its active nature, meaning that it has many scratches on its surface. We deliberately select leather with many scratches to use.
<About the processing> The finished items are soaked in water mixed with oil and then washed by hand, rubbing each one. After drying, a generous amount of oil is applied by hand to create an uneven texture. Like pull-up leather, when you pinch the leather with your fingers, the oil escapes and it turns white. Also, scratches that look like they were made with fingernails will disappear if you rub them.
<Changes over time> Over time, the gloss and color will deepen. Wrinkles that appear when the product dries will gradually disappear with use.
<Handling Precautions> Please be careful as color or oil may transfer to other items due to friction or contact.
