Introducing "ROYAL STAR," a new label from CONVERSE that will be released on Friday, March 6th.

Three new items with a special atmosphere never before seen will be available.

CONVERSE "ROYAL STAR"
This leather collection reinterprets classic archive pieces from Converse's long history and incorporates a modern vibe.
With designer Toshinosuke Takegahara as supervisor, the company pursues a design that eliminates waste and careful manufacturing.

Converse's archives have a history of supporting the highlights of street culture and sports from the ground up, and the heritage models that continue to be produced today are imbued with that memory and identity. I felt it was necessary to visualize their original presence in order to reaffirm their background and significance. For the ROYAL STAR, I used those memories as a guide and reconstructed them together with members of Converse, weaving together a modern vibe and my own interpretation. I also feel that leather is a special material that imprints the wearer's time with each wear. That's why, as a designer, I felt it was important to not add too much, but to leave room for the wearer. I would be happy if each model could become a part of the wearer at an unexpected moment, without being overly assertive.

This model is an extremely minimalist take on the ONE STAR, one of Converse's most iconic models, which was born in 1974.
The embossed star motif is subtle yet emphasizes its identity.

This model is based on the "STAR CRUISER," which has its roots in training shoes from the 1970s, and incorporates the essence of running shoes.
The simple and clean upper design features an embossed chevron and star logo on the inner hip only, and eyelets made of hooks.

This shoe is a modern update of Converse's iconic basketball shoe, the WEAPON, which was first released in 1986.
The minimalist upper design is luxuriously clad in leather, and the chevron and star logo on the inner and outer hips and the Y-bar of adjusted thickness make a quiet statement.

The Leather Collection is a reinterpretation of classic archive pieces, made from high-quality leather, with soles and insoles that are highly functional and cushioned, and each item is printed with a serial number, making it a special label.
