The GEL-KAYANO 20 is a collaboration item that combines doublet's original ideas with ASICS' advanced craftsmanship.

This collaboration is designed based on ASICS SportStyle's in-line shoe boxes, cardboard and cardboard.
The upper of the shoe is designed as a homage to the spec sticker that lists the shoe size and color name, and the label sticker of Ortholite, known for its high-performance insoles.
The shoes are made of a color-changing material, similar to cardboard, so you can enjoy the change in color over time as you continue to wear them. In addition, the material has a wavy cross-section that resembles the cross-section of cardboard, and the spare shoelaces included are blue.
The reinforcements in various parts and the ASICS stripes are reminiscent of the transparent vinyl tape used to bundle cardboard boxes together.

According to designer Ino, "Wouldn't it be interesting if a shoebox itself could be turned into a sneaker? Wouldn't that be eco-friendly?" This is the basis for the GEL-KAYANO 20's completely original upper design.
The shoeboxes themselves have cutting lines for the uppers and other parts written all over them, so customers can transform the shoebox into sneakers by cutting them out.
