NEEDLES was founded in 1988 as a select shop handling imports under the name NEPENTHES, and launched as a brand in 1995. The brand's collections, crafted from a personal perspective and reflecting a worldview refined through long-standing experience, have garnered worldwide attention. In 2010, a new line within the collection, "REBUILD by NEEDLES," was established. Mass-produced clothing from the past is rebuilt and reborn as new clothing. Drawing on over 30 years of travel and discovery, the brand offers clothing that combines unique aesthetics and functionality.
DESIGNER
Keizo Shimizu, the founder of NEPENTHES and designer of NEEDLES, started NEEDLES in 1995. Drawing on his 20 years of experience as a leader in imported fashion, he continues to create unique designs that emphasize functionality and story in materials, details, and construction.
